Moncalisse, High-altitude Trentodoc at its finest

Founded in 2016 by Julia and Karoline Walch of the historic winemaking family from Alto Adige, Moncalisse was created with a desire to showcase a truly unique terroir at the foothills of Monte Calisio.

Twelve hectares of vineyards, including a prized parcel of historic Chardonnay vines at the heart of the estate, yield exclusively Riserva wines with extended bottle aging. These wines are authentic expressions of a terroir where the mountain and the passage of time unite, creating sparkling wines of extraordinary purity, finesse, and longevity.

IN THE HEART OF THE LAND

Moncalisse was established in the foothills of Monte Calisio, 600 meters above sea level, as an estate whose name embodies the spirit of its origin. Twelve hectares of vineyards stretch across a single slope, where soil, climate, and history come together to create an extraordinary terroir.

This mountain, rich in history and charm, preserves ancient rock carvings that tell of long-gone communities and a profound connection with nature.

Today, Moncalisse honors this legacy, transforming the land’s quiet strength into Trentodoc wines of exceptional elegance.

Force of nature

Moncalisse’s vineyards are a quiet, intimate place where winemaking expertise and respect for the land come together in perfect harmony.

Nature is carefully nurtured through sustainable practices and a focus on biodiversity, allowing each vine to reveal its true character.

Here, altitude, microclimate, and varied soils merge in subtle balance, producing refined, enduring sparkling wines where elegance and freshness mingle with a gentle strength, the unmistakable signature of Moncalisse.
