Moncalisse, the Trentodoc winery of sisters Julia and Karoline Walch opens its doors

Julia and Karoline Walch have officially inaugurated the new Moncalisse estate in Civezzano, dedicated exclusively to high-altitude Trentodoc Riserva sparkling wines, with a target production of 100,000 bottles. The project centers around a historic 65-year-old pergola vineyard on Mount Calisio - cultivated under strict sustainability principles - and draws on the expertise of Champagne winemaker Odilon de Varine for extended lees aging ranging from 56 to 80 months.

Designed by architect David Stuflesser, the landscape-integrated winery pairs an underground production structure engineered for gravity-fed winemaking with refined above-ground spaces created for bespoke hospitality, complete with guided tours, curated masterclasses, and an on-site bistrot.
