Montis Arcentarie

Montis Arcentarie presents a brilliant golden hue. On the nose, it reveals delicate floral nuances of acacia, hawthorn, and white rose, interwoven with hints of wildflowers and Mediterranean scrub. A broad fruit spectrum follows, ranging from peach to subtle exotic undertones. Notes of apricot and loquat merge with elegant citrus accents of grapefruit and candied citron. The complexity deepens with nuances of aromatic and minty herbs, subtle balsamic notes, and gentle spices.

The wine’s 80 months of bottle aging on the lees reveal themselves gracefully through aromas of dried fruit, with toasted hazelnuts and almonds, accompanied by refined notes of pâtisserie and delicate honeyed undertones, creating an intense, enveloping aromatic profile of remarkable expressive richness. On the palate, it displays vibrant, dynamic freshness, supported by an exceptionally fine and elegant effervescence that lends verticality and precision. The structure is full yet refined, with a natural balance between softness and mineral tension, where salinity and depth interplay. The finish is long and persistent, marked by elegant limestone-driven minerality, with echoes of hazelnut and almond that add roundness and finesse.

Climate trend

The 2017 vintage is exceptional for sparkling wines, particularly those from high-altitude vineyards. A warm season through July gave way to a cooler late summer, allowing acidity and sugar to come into perfect harmony. A low yield and small, concentrated clusters delivered grapes of exceptional intensity.

The result is a wine of profound elegance, where mineral tension and aromatic richness unite in a symphony of precision and longevity.

PAIRING

The depth and structure of Montis Arcentarie Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut Riserva call for dishes of refined complexity: ideal with seared scallops and Jerusalem artichoke cream, lobster-filled ravioli with browned butter, or veal cheek glazed in a rich brown jus. Its evolved character, with notes of toasted hazelnuts and candied citrus, harmonizes beautifully with aged soft cheeses or seared foie gras, creating a sublime pairing.

VINES

Carefully restored, this vineyard at the heart of the estate in Seregnano, Civezzano, perched at 560 m above sea level, retains the charm of its ancient vines, whose deep roots ensure consistency across vintages and impart structure and complexity to the wine.

Today, the vines thrive in perfect balance: smaller clusters, deep roots that steadily draw water and nutrients, and mature wood that serves as a natural reservoir, enhancing resilience and longevity. Together, these elements give rise to wines of consistent quality, defined structure, and layered complexity, stemming from both the vines’ age and their limited yields. A rare legacy that imparts longevity, depth, and a distinctive character to the wine.
